Yes. Some steps need a connected account or a plan that includes it.

Can a DNS change break my email?

Changes are previewed before they are written, and the Google Workspace preset shows the exact mail records. Whole-zone replacement is disabled.

Do I need Cloudflare?

For record-level editing, yes. Connecting a domain to your Helm site uses the domain connection plan instead.

Can I undo a connection?

Yes. Connection plans can be undone from the domain page.

Overview

What DNS editor and one-click connect is.

Once you have a domain, Axiom Helm helps you connect it. Connection plans are prepared first and only applied after you confirm. Each plan can be undone.

DNS editing works through a connected Cloudflare zone. You see a preview of the exact record changes before anything is written, and writes need a separate permission you control.

Registrar-side DNS that would replace a whole zone is deliberately disabled. That prevents an edit from wiping records you did not mean to touch.
